Abstract: This paper presents a novel multi-channel portable bioelectronic platform for multiplex detection, i.e. for reading a biosensor chip with multiple sensing sites for real-time multi target capturing. The system is based on Differential Impedance Sensing (DIS) of specific biomolecules with nanoparticle amplification. The sensor surface houses 7 sites of gold-interdigitated microelectrodes designed in a differential configuration, reference and sensing, to counteract temperature fluctuations and variations in the ion content of the solution. The multichannel electronic platform has been validated by selectively detecting a target DNA oligonucleotide only on 3 specific sensor sites, leaving 2 negative controls and 2 reference sites clean. The system allows for easy and effective bio-reconfigurability, leveraging the advances in molecular recognition by properly selecting bio-probes for each sensing site, extending the applicability of multiplex detection to a vast range of diagnostic approaches.
