Paper Title: Towards a Commercial Strontium-Ion Optical Clock

Abstract: We present a transportable and reduced SWaP commercial strontium-ion optical clock. The physics package and control electronics are condensed to fit within a half-height 19 rack. The development effort targets simplification and automation, while still approaching the frequency instability of tabletop-scale systems (mid-10^(-15)/√τ). Notably, the clock requires only two frequency-stabilized lasers. Custom electronics and simplified repump and clear-out lasers have contributed to the reduction in system SWaP. A differentiating design choice in the physics package is the use of a linear trap. This enables both loading without photoionization and the option of simultaneous probing of more than one ion, to reduce the quantum projection noise limited frequency instability. The system offers a realistic commercial solution for a robust, high uptime trapped-ion optical clock. The existing clock shows instability <4E-15 from 10s to 1,000s.
