Abstract:
Diverging wave (DW) imaging has the ability to achieve high temporal resolution while providing a wide field of view. Despite the advantages, the DW image quality has some inherent limitations. This study explores the Iterative Adaptive Approach (IAA) -- traditionally reserved for focused imaging scenarios -- to make DW imaging perform better than conventional delay-and-sum (DAS). The reconstructions from simulated data show a consistent improvement in point-target resolution using IAA compared to DAS. The experimental data proves the robustness of IAA in operational DW imaging.
