Abstract:
In this work, we derive the theoretical array pattern of null subtraction imaging (NSI) and find the approximated expression of the -6 dB mainlobe width using the Taylor extension. Our result presents an important theoretical result for NSI that directly explains the influence of c on resolution. Furthermore, the result can be extended to other classes of ZM windows, and possibly inspire the derivation of other properties of NSI, such as white noise gain or peak sidelobe levels.
