Many studies have explored the application of Fourier based beamforming in ultrasound imaging, mainly motivated by a reduced computational burden compared to time-domain approaches. However, these methods are usually adapted for a specific type of transmit beam. The literature still lacks a widely accepted Fourier beamformer suitable for all transmit scenarios. The ReFocus technique enables the recovery of multistatic data from recordings of multiple transmit beams. However, its computational complexity can be a disadvantage in real-time applications. As the ReFocus method requires transforming recordings to Fourier domain, leveraging a Fourier beamformer to reconstruct image presents a consolidated approach. We propose integrating ReFocus with a Fourier beamformer that was originally designed for multistatic datasets in radar and sonar.
